Operant Theory 2.0: Mastering the Fields of Operation
A concept that completely changed my personal practice is the Operant Theory, also called the Fields of Operation.
Commonly, the Lesser Pentagram Ritual (LRP) is praised as the "stone of the wise," while its counterpart, the Lesser Hexagram Ritual (LRH), barely gets any credit.
The Operant Theory refreshes the perspective by treating both techniques as equally powerful tools for setting a magickal space.
While the LRP is still special as it "unlocks" the LRH and identifies you with the Tree, combining them in specific ways (Invoking or Banishing) upgrades your ritual toolkit in three crucial ways:
Maximizing the intentionality of each practice.
Setting a space tailored to your actual aim.
Creating filters that control the scope of impact of your working.
The Manual
Considering how readibly applicable it is, I made my first manual on the Operant Theory. While it was greatly appreciated, I evolved, so should my manuals. Here comes Operant Theory 2.0:
